Product Owner
Las Vegas, NV/Remote
As a Product Owner, you will work as part of a truly innovative and growing team responsible for developing and advancing our platform. You will focus on new product development and enhancements to existing products. The role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations to own and lead projects from initial conception through launch. You will be the person responsible for managing your agile team’s backlog and aligning key internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand pain points and design solutions
- Create and maintain your agile team backlog
- Write epics and user stories with acceptance criteria
- Groom and prioritize backlog items to best achieve core business objectives
- Align stakeholders on current status and ensure the backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all
- Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure team activities and velocity are consistent with stakeholder expectations
- Identify, track and manage risks, escalating when necessary
- Partner with department leads to define product vision and strategy
Must-have qualifications:
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Building complex products within regulatory environments
- Translating complex business problems into easily understood solutions and functional requirements
- Thinking strategically to solve problems in alignment with business goals and objectives
- Working cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing
Design Director
Las Vegas, NV/Remote
The Design Director oversees all design roles in the company. They set the direction for how design problems are solved, write the design language for our software products, as well as oversee and validate solutions brought forward by Design Managers.
The Design Director is responsible for driving the design language, thinking, and direction that shapes our software offerings, collaborating with other team members frequently, leading their department, and communicating the mission of design across the company.
As the direct report of Design Managers, the Design Director will be responsible for the performance and output of Design Managers.
Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Ensure Design Managers are on track for delivery of design solutions
- Manage the workload of Design Managers so that they are always producing results that benefit the company
- Communicate with team members on designs
- Create high-level design solutions including but not limited to: iconography, typography, Connections design language, mobile-first design, and industry best practices
- Monitor communication with users and stakeholders
- Write reports on functionality and user observations
- Create designs that solve real user problems
- Mentor, lead, and manage Design Managers
Must-have qualifications:
- Can show proof that they can legally work in the US
- Regular correspondence on company communication platforms
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Must gracefully handle regular criticism of their work
- Attention to detail, down to the pixel-level
- Must be able to accurately estimate and timebox their time
- Must be able to meet estimate commitments and deliver results on deadline
- Must wireframe solutions and communicate these solutions to team members
- Must have mastery of writing, reading, and speaking the English language
- Must be able to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Must be able to communicate professionally with users
- Must be able to lead and communicate with design team peers and direct reports
