What you'll do
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand pain points and shape solutions
- Own and prioritize your team’s backlog to hit core business goals
- Write clear epics and user stories with acceptance criteria
- Keep the backlog visible and everyone aligned on status
- Run agile ceremonies and keep the team’s velocity on track
- Spot, track, and manage risks early, and escalate when needed
- Work with department leads to define product vision and strategy

- Experience with agile software development
- A track record building complex products in regulated environments
- A talent for turning messy business problems into clear requirements

- Own the design language and direction across True’s products
- Guide and validate the work of Design Managers
- Manage the team’s workload so design solutions ship on time
- Create high-level solutions across iconography, typography, and mobile-first design
- Keep a close eye on user and stakeholder feedback
- Turn user observations into clear reports and better design
- Mentor and lead the design team

- Mastery of design fundamentals, with pixel-level attention to detail
- A track record leading and mentoring designers
- The ability to wireframe and communicate solutions clearly
- Sharp written and verbal communication, including with users
- Reliable estimating and on-deadline delivery
- The ability to explain complex concepts simply
